Day Two- Dinner #1 @ Cafe Tortoni

So we walked down Florida Ave and our professor told us about this café which was founded in 1858. It was a beautiful place with ornate woodwork and marble everywhere. Apparently it is a historic landmark and somewhere every tourist needs to go. Good food too. Here's the link if you want more http://www.cafetortoni.com.ar/

youve got quite the blog going here, man.

I see you are enjoying the quilmes. If you want to see some Dandmarks around the city, I lived at 1695 Arenales, where it crosses rodriguez pen~a, around the corner from the touristy bar The Shamrock. If you happen to go there everybody speaks english, which is good and bad, but if you go to 1520 Marcelo T de Alvear there is a sweet Pen~a thing thu-sat nights where they do dinner and then dancing and folkloric native music or something and its really cool. Its mostly students and the drinks are nearly supermarket prices.
Last month we stayed right up from you guys on corrientes and 25 de mayo. like right off of puerto madero. Marina almost got mugged by cartoneros, the guys who come from the suburbs to collect cardboard at night and pick through trash, at Corrientes and san martin, but cartoneros don’t generally commit crimes, just pick through the trash
Loved hearing from you today, that is, that which I could hear. If you hit up a locutorio and want to lay down a few pesos give me a call, otherwise keep having an amazing time and tell everyone I said hi!
