Having gotten some sleep on the train I was ready to explore the city right we arrived. After the group found a hostel everyone passed out and I went on an impromptu walking tour of the city. I ended up running into this massive landmark. Apparently it is the national monument to Germany's "Wars of Unification". I decided that it would be a good idea to walk up the tower, not realizing how tall it actually is. If I had to compare it to anything I’d say it was like walking up the Statue of Liberty (spiral staircase and all). The view was incredible, check out the video.
